PMT-0001 Bluetooth Pressure Gauge Instructions
PMT-0001 is a Bluetooth pressure sensor designed specifically for coffee extraction, produced by Jiangmen Pumite Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the company"). When paired with the dedicated ProMeter App, it enables real-time monitoring of pressure data during the coffee extraction process, generating a pressure curve for each extraction session. Users can experiment with different pressure profiles during each shot to achieve espresso with varied flavors and mouthfeel. PMT-0001 (hereinafter referred to as "this product") features rich settings and functions tailored specifically for coffee extraction scenarios, aiming to enhance enjoyment and deliver a more engaging brewing experience for coffee enthusiasts.
Below is the user manual for the pressure gauge.
1. Installation
1.1 Installing the Battery
The pressure gauge uses a 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery of 16340 specification. Please use a high-quality, certified lithium battery.
Steps:
a. Unscrew the back cover.
b. Align the negative terminal of the battery with the spring end (negative pole), gently press to secure the battery in place.
c. Reattach the back cover, ensuring it clicks into place.
1.2 Installing the Pressure Gauge onto the Coffee Machine
The following instructions are based on installation onto a Flair 58 as an example.
1.2.1 Required Materials:
Pressure gauge, nylon sealing ring, rubber gasket, M6-to-G1/8 adapter included in the package, Teflon tape (provided separately)
1.2.2 Installation Steps:
a. Attach the nylon sealing ring onto the M6 threaded post of the pressure gauge, then wrap 2–3 turns of Teflon tape around it.
b. Screw in the adapter until the nylon ring is firmly compressed and feels tight.
c. Place the rubber gasket onto the external thread of the adapter, leaving about one full turn of exposed thread. Wrap 3–5 turns of Teflon tape clockwise around the rubber gasket. It is recommended to wrap the Teflon tape over the rubber gasket, then press down to secure both ends of the threaded section.
d. Screw the assembly clockwise into the original pressure gauge port on the Flair 58 until it feels snug and is at the correct angle for use. If it does not feel tight at the proper angle, remove it and add more Teflon tape using the same method before reassembling.
2. Usage
2.1 Download the ProMeter App
iOS: Supports iOS 16.0 and above. Search for "ProMeter" on the App Store.
Android: Click the Android icon at the bottom of this website's homepage to download.
2.2 Connecting to the ProMeter App (hereinafter referred to as the App)
The App requires Bluetooth permission; please grant access.
After turning on the pressure gauge, open the settings page, tap the dropdown under the pressure gauge module, and select the device named pmt-0001 to connect and use.
The App supports both landscape and portrait orientations to meet diverse user scenarios.
2.3 Features Overview
This product offers multiple dial modes. Below is a detailed introduction to the curve mode.
2.3.1 Reference Curve
a. Send to the pressure gauge: While the product is connected to the App (referred to as "online"), tap the button indicated by the arrow below:
b. Remove the reference curve from the pressure gauge: While still connected, click the button indicated in the image above.
2.3.2 Curve Recording Function
2.3.2.1 To enable the curve recording function, you need
i. First, go to Settings -> Application Settings -> Curve Recording Settings and configure the following parameters: 1. Start pressure, 2. Stop pressure, and stop duration.
ii. Then connect the pressure gauge and synchronize the relevant start and stop conditions in Settings -> Sensor Settings -> Curve Recording Settings.

Once all parameters are set, the extraction process status diagram will appear as shown below:
When the flowchart has no gray areas, it indicates that the parameter settings required for extraction are complete, allowing the curve recording function to be carried out according to the set parameters on each dial.
2.3.2.2 When the dial is in a curved style, there are two display options: right-side and left-side.
2.3.2.2.1 Right-side mode: The curve starts from the right side, similar to an electrocardiogram. After resetting the curve quality, you can press down to the set weight while connected to the electronic scale to clear the curve.
2.3.2.3.2 Left Mode: The curve starts from the left side, requiring a trigger pressure to be set. Once this trigger pressure is reached, extraction curve recording begins.
a. If reset pressure is not set, the mode switches to right mode once the curve fills the chart.
b. If reset pressure is set, recording stops under either of the following conditions:
1. When stop pressure and duration are set, recording stops if the pressure remains below the set value for the specified duration;
2. Recording automatically stops when the curve fills the chart.
c. The curve is cleared upon meeting condition b.
1. Use reset pressure: after extraction is complete, pull the lever to the reset curve pressure to clear the curve and prepare for recording the next extraction curve.
2. When connected to an electronic scale, set the reset weight and press down on the scale until the specified weight is reached to clear the curve (effect same as method c).
2.4 Charging Instructions:
2.4.1 Only use qualified 3.7V 16340 rechargeable lithium batteries, along with certified Type-C cables and charging power adapters. (Fast-charging power sources are not recommended; prefer well-known brands with low-power output, such as Apple's 5V/1A chargers.) Damage caused by unqualified batteries or charging equipment is not covered under warranty.
2.4.2 This device can only be charged when powered on. A red blinking light on the indicator column next to the Type-C port indicates that charging is in progress.
